Universal Transitional Kindergarten/Collaborative Classroom 

This is an Early Childhood Education program where children benefit from an enriched foundational early childhood education program to prepare them for success in traditional Kindergarten.  

 The UTK/CC program is for children whose birthday is between September 2, 2017 through September 1, 2018. This is a full day class (6 hours a day, 5 days week) with a ratio of 24 students to 4 adults. The children will learn language, literacy, and math skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond, as well as focusing on socialization during playtime. 

The UTK/CC is in place at LAUSD neighborhood schools and is available only at a select few schools which includes Wilshire Crest Elementary. 

The ETK class at Wilshire Crest is currently taught by Karen Lever-Waters, National Board Certified(NBC) Teacher.
